This was my absolute favorite spot in Real De Catorce. It’s an incredible space — like an old inn with beautiful details, multiple working fireplaces, hand painted murals, and a rooftop terrace with the best view of this beautiful mountain town. Martín and his wife and kids are the loveliest people, very welcoming and cheerful. They take pride in what they’re building with this business and you can taste the care and love put into the food—everything is made in house. 10/10 would totally recommend anyone coming here make it a point to come here for breakfast or dinner, it’s really special.

Don't forget to try the food!A very unique place. I didn't expect to try handmade pasta and stroganoff in the middle of the desert.Martin is a very attentive owner and a lovely person to chat with. I also totally recommend the ice cream and the pan de muerto from the panadería! I look forward to visiting them again soon!

Very surprised to get such good food in such a small desert town. Only thing better than the bread and pasta was how helpful the guy I was speaking to was(who’s name I’ve unfortunately forgotten)! Gave me great local information and helped me charge my phone. Will recommend to anyone going this way for sure!

This hidden gem, whispered about by locals, offers what many consider the very best Italian food in Real de Catorce. The menu is simple but unforgettable: handmade pasta crafted with care, thin-crust oven-baked pizza, and freshly baked bread that fills the space with the aroma of warmth and tradition. Every dish feels both authentic and soulful, rooted in a story of heritage. The owner learned his craft directly from one of the original Italian settlers who, in the 1990s, helped ignite the touristic boom that transformed this magical desert town. What makes the experience even more special is the setting itself. The views are nothing short of breathtaking — from the terrace you can gaze across the mountains and the historic stone streets, while the cathedral towers in the distance. The second floor, in particular, feels like a world apart: the perfect spot for a romantic dinner lit by candlelight, or a quiet refuge to linger all afternoon, notebook in hand, letting the view inspire you to write a book. The atmosphere has a dreamlike quality, as if you’ve stepped onto the set of a film where time slows down, conversations stretch late into the night, and every detail — from the rustic wood beams to the glow of the pizza oven — feels cinematic. On a personal note, my family and I loved it so much that we went back three times during our short stay in Real de Catorce. We also brought home some of their handmade treasures — chocolate, honey, and even a natural hand cream — each one carrying a little piece of the magic of this place with us.
